Muslims Must Emphasise Their Kinship With The Older Religions.
The Qur’an repeatedly points out that it is not bringing a message that is essentially new and that Muslims must emphasise their kinship with the older religions.
The Qur’an naturally singles out apostles who were familiar to the Arabs – like Abraham, Noah, Moses and Jesus who were prophets of the Jews and Christians.
Today, Muslims insist that if Muhammad had known about Hindus and Buddhists, he would have included their religious sages.
After his death they were allowed full religious liberty in the Islamic Empire, like the Jews and Christians.

Say ye: “We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord:  We make no difference between one and another of them:  And we bow to Allah (in Islam).”
( Qur’an 2:136 )

Jesus Is Mentioned More Times Than Muhammad In The Qur’an.
And we consider him to be the Messiah (which simply means “anointed” in either Hebrew or Arabic).
In Surat-Aal Imran we read:  Behold! the angels said: “O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him:  His name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.”
( Qur’an 3:45 )

One Hadith (saying of the Prophet Muhammad) tells us just how unique Jesus is.
The Prophet said, “When any human being is born, Satan touches him at both sides of the body with his two fingers, except Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed, for he touched the placenta-cover instead.”
( Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 506 )

We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him.
We sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms.
( Qur’an 4:163 )

The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah – the which We have sent by inspiration to thee – and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus:  Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them.  Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).
( Qur’an 42:13 )

When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said:  “Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me.
( Qur’an 43:63 )

And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment):  therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me:  this is a Straight Way.
( Qur’an 43:61 )

The magnanimity of the Prophet Muhammad should serve as a lesson to all those who claim to follow his path.
He forgave all his enemies (including those who had murdered his own uncle).
And the first-ever ‘Islamic States’ provided conditions in which Jewish and Christian communities flourished and prospered in peace and security.

Words Of Jesus From The Bible.

Do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will care for itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.

While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.

O man of little faith, why do you doubt?

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

Anyone who hears and obeys these teachings of mine is like a wise person who builds a house on solid rock.

Anyone who hears my teachings and doesn’t obey them is like a foolish person who builds a house on sand.

If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?
For even sinners love those who love them.

If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you?
For even sinners do the same.

Don’t use the Lord’s name to make a promise unless you are planning to keep it.

Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.

Enter through the narrow gate.
For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
But store up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

No-one can serve two masters.
Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.
You cannot serve both God and money.

Watch out for false prophets.
They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

The Devil’s Game.
If the devil had his own bible, it would probably take the form of a computer game.
It would be sly and witty, enjoyable and slick.
It would start with small, almost funny misdeeds.
It would offer the player the joys of money, successful violence and easy, responsibility-free sex.
There would be drugs which didn’t fry your brain or burn holes in your nose.
You would be made to feel brave, while not actually needing to be.
None of your pleasures would be paid for in coin, pain or grief.
Everyone else in the game would be disposable and forgettable.
And it would contain one big lie.
You would come out at the end happy and unharmed, and wanting more.

Throughout history many have claimed to be a prophet of God.
We can judge those who were true and those who were false simply by their actions.
Those who were true condemned violence and sought peace for all.
Those who were false used violence and fear and persuaded their followers to persecute those who would not follow them.
