If You Find Yourself Banned On Facebook. Once upon a time on Facebook, I was…
I Dream Of A Home.
A warm place to rest my head.
A place of peace and love
With my very own bed.
The life I’m forced to live really isn’t fair,
I dream of that special someone who will really care,
To protect me, to hold me, and forever love me,
Offering me their heart unconditionally.
Heaven And Hell.
I am sure there is a Heaven
Where animals will be safe and dwell.
They have lived on Earth
With cruel human-kind
And spent their short lives in Hell.
It’s Just A Dog.
If it were my brother, I would find an allergist to help him with his allergies, no matter the cost.
But they tell me, it’s just a dog.
If it were my sister, I would find the best laser eye surgeon so she could see again, no matter the cost. But they tell me, it’s just a dog.
If it were my mother, I would hire a staff of oncologists for the cancer that is stealing her away from me, no matter the cost. But they tell me, it’s just a dog.
If it were my father, I would find the best orthopaedic surgeon to enable him to walk again, no matter the cost.
But they tell me, it’s just a dog.
If it were my husband, I would hire every medical professional necessary to put him back together after that terrible accident that almost took him away, no matter the cost.
But they tell me, it’s just a dog.
If it were my child, I wouldn’t skimp on dental care, no matter the cost.
But they tell me, it’s just a dog.
If it were my best friend, I would go with her to the doctor, every day that she needed me to help her through the worst pains in her life, taking off work if necessary and putting my own needs aside, no matter the cost.
But they tell me, it’s just a dog.
If any member of my family were dying, at that moment I would pull out all the stops and do whatever was in my power to save their life, no matter the cost.
But they tell me, it’s just a dog.
Just a dog. Just my friend. Just my family.
Please, my dog, no matter the cost.

Dogs Live Here.
If you don’t want to be greeted with paws and swinging tails,
Don’t come inside because dogs live here.
If you don’t like the feel of a cold nose or wet tongue,
Don’t come inside because dogs live here.
If you don’t want to step over scattered toys,
Don’t come inside because dogs live here.
If you think that a home ought to smell of perfume,
Don’t come inside because dogs live here.
But if you don’t mind all of this..
You will be instantly loved when you come inside,
Because dogs live here.
I Will Keep Putting Animals First.
Until people are killed for lack of space
I will keep putting animals first.
Until people are tortured and murdered on the scale animals are
I will keep putting animals first.
Until people make me smile the way animals do
I will keep putting animals first.
Until people understand animals are precious souls
I will keep putting animals first.
A Kangaroo Mother.
A car came from nowhere
Hit me hard and sped off into the distance
And didn’t even turn around.
By the time I understood what had happened
I was sprawled upon the ground.
My legs were twisted, my back was broken
My head was hurting too.
I laid there in agony, thinking what to do.
I raised my head and tried to look
But I knew I hadn’t got long.
I was worried about my little Joey
What would happen when I’m gone?
Just before I closed my eyes, I heard the sound of a car.
I listened very carefully, and hoped it wasn’t far.
Then I heard some voices, but much too late for me,
A young girl reached in my pouch and pulled my Joey free.
The young girl looked at me and shook her head
Then dragged me to the side.
I closed my eyes and turned away
And that is where I died.

They Are Equal To Me.
The bird, the bee, the four-legged,
The two-legged, the fish in the sea.
These are all my relations.
They are equal to me.
My Two Humans.
Now I lay me down to sleep
My human’s bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the middle groove
My two humans, they can barely move.
I’ve tucked myself in nice and tight
This is where I will spend the night.
My two humans, I love them dear
They love me back, that is clear.
I Have A Dream.
I have a dream that dogs and cats live much longer
And that assholes didn’t keep hurting them.
I have a dream that one day every dog
And every cat has a kind and loving home.
I have a dream that all animals are safe
And free to live their life as we do.
I Will Fight His Fight.
And I am my brother’s keeper
And I will fight his fight
And speak the word for beast and bird
Till the world shall set things right.
( Ella Wheeler Wilcox, 1850-1919 )
I Am A Forever Dog, Not An Until Dog.
I’m not an until you get bored with me.
I’m not an until you find a girlfriend.
I’m not an until you have a baby.
I’m not an until you have to move.
I’m not an until you have no time.
I’m not an until I get old.
I’m a FOREVER DOG.
If you can’t give me forever, then I’m not your dog.
It’s really that simple.
